Here’s a cookie recipe from a previous co-worker, Debbie, who would make these for Christmas and save a bunch for the Super Bowl. At work, I had to ration these things or else I could eat maybe 30 of them in 2 days.
0.5 c butter
3 oz cream cheese
1 c four
Knead, wrap and chill for a few hours.
Before baking, let sit until room temp. Roll out to 0.25″ thick on a floured board.
Chopped nuts (Debbie uses walnuts mostly), ca. 3.5 cups
add 0.75 c nuts to 1 c sugar, 0.75 c honey and 2 T milk.
Combine till nuts are moist and moldable.
Bake 350 for 12-15 min
Sprinkle with powdered sugar
Roll out dough, fill with walnut mixture, pinch ends together, and bake.
